- 刑事法典 (PENAL CODE)包含三种导致死亡的罪行，即谋杀，误杀，以及疏忽导致死亡。
- 谋杀：-刑事法典第302条文：刑罚是死刑
- 误杀：-刑事法典第304条文：刑罚是最高30年监禁以及罚款。
- 疏忽导致死亡：-刑事法典第304A条文：刑罚是最高2年或罚款或两者兼施。
- 然而，其实在刑事法典第309条文下，任何人企图自杀也属于罪行，可被判处最高可达1年的监禁、罚款或两者兼施。这条文显示自杀“未遂”也是刑事罪。
- 这条条例主要是表明法律的立场，是不允许他人随意夺取任何生命，包括自己。
- 除此之外，在刑事法典第306条文下，任何人若教唆他人自杀也构成刑事罪名，最高刑罚为10年监禁以及罚款。

306.Abetment of suicide
If any person commits suicide, whoever abets the commissionof such suicide shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
309.Attempt to commit suicide
Whoever attempts to commit suicide, and does any act towards the commission of such offence, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with fine or with both.
