首相兼财政部长拿督斯里安华宣布，2025年2月1日起，全国最低薪金将从每月1500令吉提高至1700令吉。
政府将给予雇用少于5名员工的雇主6个月宽限期，即从2025年8月1日起才生效。
- 不过，拥有少于五名员工的雇主可以推迟六个月实施上述政策，并在2025年8月才开始执行。
- 这项最低薪金制，将涵盖非马来西亚人在内的所有工人，除了家庭佣人及合约学徒。
