问:雇主是否能每2个月,6个月或者12个月才付工资?

答:

 

  1. 劳工法令1955第18(1)条文注明:雇佣合约必须指明工资期限不能超过一个月。
  2. 每个雇佣合同中必须注明不超过一个月的“工资期限”。如果雇佣合同中未规定工资期限,法律自然的锁定工资期限为一个月。
  3. “工资期限”是指雇主必须支付工资的时期。
  4. 工资期限可以是每周,每两周或更长的期限,但不得超过一个月。
  5. 因此,雇主有责任根据法律,在每个雇佣合同中规定工资期限。
  6. 雇佣合同中注明工资期限,这是为了让员工能预算他们的生活开销,预测何时能缴交自己和家庭花费。

 

  1. In every contract of service there shall be specified a “wage period” not exceeding one month and, where no wage period is specified in any contract of service, it shall be deemed to be one month for the purpose of the law.
  2. A “wage period” in relation to an employee means the period in respect of which wages are ordinarily payable to an employee under the terms of his contract of service.
  3. A wage period can be weekly, fortnightly or any longer period but shall not exceed one month.
  4. It is therefore incumbent upon an employer to fix a wage period in every contract of service as required by the law to safeguard the interests of employees.

18.Wage period

(1) A contract of service shall specify a wage period not exceeding one month.

(2) If in any contract of service no wage period is specified the wage period shall for the purposes of the contract be deemed to be one month.
